The Story
A Greek family.
A small Minnesota town.
In 1984, Pete and Aristea Kontinakis took over a little steakhouse on 3rd Street in Farmington. They were Greek immigrants chasing the American dream — and they did it the only way they knew how: hand-grilling every steak in front of their customers, treating strangers like family, and never taking a shortcut.
Pete passed in 2012. But Aristea and their two daughters never let the grill go cold. Forty years later, the same family is still here, still grilling, still proud.

“Eating here is truly like stepping into a time machine. The family treats you like you've been coming for twenty years, even on your first visit.
— A regular
“Biggest steak I've ever had. Cash only, which I appreciated — it felt like a throwback to doing things properly. And the baklava? Holy cow.
— A visitor from out of town
“The owner or his wife works the counter. The kitchen cooks everything in front of you. Nothing pretentious. Just real food by real people.
